ForSka
Problem Description
1) Existing portfolio management and risk management tools available to individual investors either require users to have extensive knowledge of finance and jargon (e.g. Smartfolio), or are difficult to use ,are not powerful enough to fulfill their investing needs (e.g. Yahoo Finance) or require paid accounts with brokerage houses (e.g. E-Trade). Small-medium sized investment management firms and private wealth managers find existing portfolio management and risk management tools either too heavy on implementation (e.g. Murex) or too expensive and not user-friendly.
2) Existing financial tools do not have social features which enable investors to collaborate and exchange ideas. Independent sites (Socialpicks.com) which have social features do not offer any useful tools (investment management/risk management) and therefore do not fulfill the needs of the investors.
ForSka intends to address this problem by providing investment management, trading and risk management tools, powered by intelligence and algorithm-driven advanced investment management techniques with integrated social features (which will enable users to share ideas and communicate with each other) that can be used by individuals as well as professional investment managers through new media channels such as a highly interactive Ajax based websites, Blackberry/iPhone applications and Facebook applications.
